Can't Believe It

This Is UNREAL!!!

In the past 3 years, I have lost my job, my house was foreclosed on (because I lost my job and couldn't afford the house payments any longer).... my oldest son (32 years old) took his own life, I lost my medical insurance when I lost my job, and now have two serious health problems which require specialists and I can't afford them... and last but not least.... my oldest daughter has  cancer and I have been trying my best to help her out, as well.  I have found another job, but it is low paying and offers absolutely NO BENEFITS!  I am falling behind on EVERYTHING!!!!  Is there anyone out there that could give me a "hand up"????  I would be eternally grateful, and God Bless you!

Someday this could be YOU! Asking for help is the hardest thing I've ever done.

Remember- someday this could be you!

I am a 44 year old father of 2 daughters (ages 15 and 7).  While I am am married, I can't help but honestly say that that our fininancial situation has caused stress on our marriage.  Five years ago I experienced a fall that broke two vertebrae in my back, resulting in a loss of work.  Because I had changed jobs just 8 months earlier, I did not qualify for work related disability or workers compensation.  At the time my wife was a stay at home mom, taking care of our two year old.

All that has changed now.  I am the stay at home dad.  My wife works, but her job provides little more than health insurance.  I do draw social security, but as you are aware, that's not much.  As a result of the accident, we were forced to file a bankruptcy, which will be paid off in 22 months.  So far, we have been able to "survive", but it's been a monthly struggle.

Recently, my wife's company changed owners.  Now, instead of a paycheck every week, she gets paid once a month (the same week I get my social security).  We are falling behind on everything, because we had bills set up throughout the month. Now, we must decide if we pay a bill, or buy groceries.  I wont even go into the bills associated with raising children.  My wife also found out this week that she will have to begin paying for health insurance (which was a company benefit until now).  Bottom line: It hurts to say it, but WE NEED HELP!

The average American is just 3 paychecks away from being placed in a situation that could lead to ours.  I am not accustomed to asking for help, but I firmly believe God led me to this website. Thank you in advance for your thoughtful prayers and cnsideration.  May God lead you to share as he has so blessed you.

Thank you!

New Parents

22, newly married, and 8months pregnant

My Name is Brandy. I am 22 years old and I just recently got married January 7th 2007 to a wonderful man, whom I love very much. As bright as that sounds we are having trouble. We both had jobs and then it went down hill all of a sudden.I was managing and office for a house cleaning service and my boss turned out to be less understanding than I had expected. She fired me because she couldn't afford to pay me and  my husband got laid off got from his company due to lack of work. While my husband found new work, it was for much much less pay. I am 8 months pregnant and have been to a gazzillion interviews and no one is willing to take a chance on me, given that  I am so far along. I am very experienced and hard working. I have excellent computer and people skills. Still nothing happens. We are slipping behind in our bills and it gets more and more over whelming when we start thinking about how much further we will get behind before the baby comes and I can go back to work. My husband is doing the best he can but unfortunately it is not enough. I am asking... we are asking for help. Not that anyone should just give us money, we are honest people. If anyone knows of anyone who would be willing to take me on as an employee for a few short months I would be more than greatful and so would my husband. We live in Jacksonville, Florida and some travel is not a problem.  We would be ever so greatful. Thank you for taking the time to listen .. or read.
